Selected as a moonshot idea, the nomination puts the young Danish startup into an elite club of global, and successful, Danish companies.
The DenmarkBridge Award, initiated by Danish business stalwarts such as Maersk, LEGO and Novo Nordisk, is an annual award given to a Danish organization who demonstrates a so-called “moonshot mindset”. Gaest.com was selected for its ability to marry innovation, technology and entrepreneurship as well as prove the commercial viability and impact of creating an online marketplace for listing, discovering and booking meeting spaces.
“We’re ecstatic to be nominated for this prestigious award and humbled to be in the company of such established organizations like Roskilde Festival, Joe & The Juice and Normal, just to name a few” says Gaest.com CEO and Co-founder Anders Mogensen. “I think this nomination speaks to the very core of our mission and mindset, which is to revolutionize the way we think about where, how and why we meet. At Gaest.com, we’re trying to do something that’s never been done before and that takes a profound amount of insights, connections and investments that I hope this nomination will help us gain.”
The winner of the award will be announced by HRH The Crown Prince at the Annual Meeting of The Danish Growth Fund on 1 May, 2018. Other 2018 nominees include: Vivino, Muuto, Scandmir Solar, Lix and TooGoodToGo, among others. Last year’s winner was Biotech company Genmab.
