Sydney-based duo Lachlan McEwen and Tom Milne, both with years of experience fueling growth in the business travel industry, are poised to take on the challenge of making Gaest.com the preferred choice for listing, discovering and booking unique spaces in Australia.
In connection with launching in Australia, Gaest.com - the Airbnb style marketplace for finding and booking unique and quirky spaces for meetings, workshops and the like - has enlisted the help of Sydney-based business travel veterans Lachlan McEwen and Tom Milne. Together, they represent nearly 40 years of business travel industry experience that spans tech as well as consultancy. In their new advisory roles, McEwen and Milne will be responsible for sourcing and onboarding new spaces as well as driving customer acquisition.
Extensive networks and deep industry knowledge

McEwen has 20 years of business travel and tourism experience. His successful track record in the corporate travel and tourism space began when he joined TIAS as a sales manager. McEwen then moved on to cofound conTgo Pty Ltd, a global software-as-a-service technology platform that enabled companies to track, locate and communicate with their travelers. After conTgo was acquired by Concur Technologies in 2013, McEwen opened his own travel and risk consulting firm deploying disruptive technologies in the Asia Pacific region.

Milne is a 16-year business travel veteran with deep expertise in channel sales and technology across APAC and EMEA. He began his career as a sales consultant for airlines such as Qantas and American Airlines before transitioning into sales for TMCs. Most recently, Milne was the head of APAC travel partnerships for SAP Concur, a global leader in integrated travel and expense management, where he played a pivotal role in building and managing the travel partner ecosystem for the APAC region.
